Title: Happy New Year!
 | Happy Holidays, everyone! I had to share this Christmas photo...what could be better than a new Christmas hat & a new dolly?
Thank you for another wonderful year. Your support has been incredible and is so greatly appreciated! We are celebrating our 4th year and are growing & growing. Who would have thought that this little sewing venture would evolve into a full fledged business, working around the clock, hiring seamstresses, and traveling out of state for expos and shows.
I am still working out of my home studio; I`ve contemplated opening a true brick and mortar store for awhile, but until my children are older, this seems to be the best of both worlds. Spending days with my kids and nights at the sewing machine. Very convenient! |
Big news from 2007 - I outgrew the original sewing room in our house, and have moved out to the garage, which has been creatively converted to my new sewing room and display studio. So many people have pitched in to help and I am so grateful. Painting, building walls, laying carpet, adding shelving, and re-wiring so my machine cords can be strung from the ceiling, out of a toddler's reach.
January & February will focus on adding new designs to the website, ordering new fabrics, and coordinating our show schedule for 2008.
As always, look for us at the Canterbury Spring and Fall shows in Shakopee, and the Buffalo Street Fair in August. We`ll be adding more shows soon.

Title: Half-Way Around The World...
Such Exciting News... Our 1st Stroller Blanket from our new China Doll Line has made it 1/2 way around the world to snuggle with sweet baby Zia. Zia is now with her forever family in China. They will be home in a couple of weeks & are so excited to be together. Zia's mommy shared this adorable picture of her, in their hotel room in China, only 2 days after they met. This is why I love what I do...I am so moved by stories & pictures from customers. Please, keep sending me photos of your little guys & dolls in their Goosy Gear attire. It truly makes my day, to open my inbox & have new photos & stories waiting for me! With your permission, I will add their pics to the wall-of-fame photo gallery. Congratulations, Baby Zia, on your forever-family! Wishing you safe & happy travels home!

I just finished sewing custom nursery bedding for a customer (now a friend), who is adopting her 2nd daughter from China. She inspired me to create a new line of blankets, clothing, and gifts for Chinese adoptions.All items are made in the adorable China Doll print by Michael Miller. 100% cotton, quilting quality. The blankets have an ultra-soft, plush backing and can be personalized with baby's name. Coming soon...big sister t-shirts with the chinese symbol for sister. Custom gift baskets are available. Title: Spring Show Schedule!
Spring is in the air, and our busy show schedule has begun.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Canterbury Spring Festival in April. Three days of madness and sewing around the clock, but having a ball! I love going to shows & meeting everyone in person!
Our next show? This week! Shop the Spring Fling Boutique in Buffalo this Thursday & Friday, May 3 & 4. We're setting up shoppe outdoors, 1/2 mile west of Perkins. Follow the signs to the unique boutique. Make a day (or 2?) of it ~ The unique shoppes of Buffalo are opening their doors for their once-a-month occasional sale, Thurs-Sun. If you haven't experienced the occasional sales, they are not to be missed! One of a kind finds, unique items, antiques, and beautiful wares.

Title: The Dance...
 Goosy Gear was proud to be a vendor at The Dance, last week at the Medina Ballroom. A benefit for Sara's Dance Foundation, to establish a haven for women recovering from cancer treatment or living with a serious illness.
