I (Goosy) design and sew most of our items, working from my home studio in Buffalo, Minnesota. I carefully select high quality materials & fabrics & love creating items which you will be proud to give as a gift, or keep for your own. Where did the name Goosy Gear come from? Goosy was my childhood nickname, and is what my family calls me today. About 10 years ago, I began sewing personalized baby clothes, hats and blankets for friends' baby showers. Soon this little hobby grew and we opened our online doors in 2004. Goosy Gear products can be purchased online or in person at art shows and baby expos in the Minneapolis area and midwestern states. Add a little magic to your gift! Gift wrap is available on most items. I am happy to add a personalized note and ship your gift directly to the recipient. If the new mom is at the Buffalo or Monticello, Minnesota hospital, contact me to inquire about delivery services. If I have an opening to quickly create a personalized gift (which can often be done overnight), we will deliver your gift to the new mom for a $10.00 delivery fee. Our fabric scraps are given to local sewing groups who make and donate quilts & blankets for children. We currently donate to Project Linus, Care Wear, and community sewing groups. If you know of a volunteer group who could use children's fabric, please contact me with the organization name and email address. Throughout the year, we will be hosting sessions to sew baby hats for premature babies in the NICU. These are donated to hospitals in the Minneapolis area. Contact me if you are interested in attending a session. Sewing experience is not required! We also need assistance cutting, packaging, and delivering these special hats.
